PRAYER ROOM

about the prayer room

One of the central aspects of The Furnace is the Prayer Room. The prayer room which is open to the public is designed to reflect the tabernacle of David shown in 1 Chronicles 9:33, 22-24. It is a place to have unceasing worship to God and to partner with what Jesus is interceding for our world. Why? Because He is worthy!

The Furnace Vision given by the Holy Spirit is to have 24/7 prayer and worship ongoing in our region, between Milwaukee to Chicago.

The prayer format we use is a modified Harp and Bowl model which many House's of Prayer use. It is based on Revelation 5, that speaks of a harp and bowl, meaning worship and prayer. Within the harp and bowl prayer model, we use two basic worship and prayer formats.

Intercession, as the room is invited to accompany us in corporate prayer where the prayers are specific or targeted lead by a prayer leader.

Worship the Word, a prayer format in which we agree with God’s heart as we sing the biblical truths of who God is and what His promises are. These sessions are more devotional in nature, providing an atmosphere conducive to reading the Bible and entering into contemplative or devotional prayer.

Everyone is welcome to the prayer room. You can come and go as you please. You can join in with the corporate worship and prayer or engage in private prayer, read your bible, study or journal. You can sit, stand or pace in our open areas.

We do ask that in whatever you choose to do, please do it in a manner that honors and serves the other people in the room.
